Patricia Quinn

QUINN, Patricia Ann – age 75 of Pleasant Valley, went to be with her Lord on July 1, 2018. Born in Yarmouth, N.S. on December 30, 1942 she was the daughter of the late George E. and Florence G. (Hupman) Tinkham. Patricia started her career as a legal secretary and then taught Music for Young Children and piano for over 30 years. She had a great love for animals, especially her cats; Misty and Bella. She was a devoted member of the Pleasant Valley United Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by her church family. She was a very special sister, aunt, friend, and teacher who will be deeply missed but will always remain in our hearts. She touched the lives of so many people with her sweet, kind, and generous spirit. She is survived by her brother, George “Hugh” Tinkham, Dayton; nieces, Leslie Tinkham, Halifax; and Patricia Nakpil, Dayton; great nephews, Alexandre, Rhys, Ryan, and Kai and great niece, Danica. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 2 P.M. from Pleasant Valley United Baptist Church, Rev. Jonathan Cann and Rev. Mike Cannell officiated. Interment followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A reception followed the burial in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund and the Pleasant Valley Church.
