There were 97 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Feb. 2 and 6.

Feb. 2

A compound behind a New Minas business was broken into and some old tires taken.

One attempt at computer fraud was reported and a Wolfville resident received a phony e-mail message about a stranded niece in England.

Feb. 3

Two suspicious young adults were reported on campus at Acadia University. The male ran away when approached and left a 17-year-old girl. 

A child welfare investigation is underway.

A minor dog bite was reported and is being investigated by animal control officers.

A Kingston area business reported possible stolen electronic goods.

A youth was caught shoplifting in Greenwood.

At 11 p.m. there was an ATV collision in Centreville. Those involved took off before police arrived.

Feb. 4

An intoxicated 19-year-old man in Wolfville was held until sober. A 20-year-old intoxicated woman in the same town caused a disturbance and was also jailed.

There was a noise complaint from Weston.

Just after 2 a.m. two women were reported walking along Highway 101.

A small amount of drugs and paraphernalia were found in Wolfville.

Unwanted noise was reported at a Port Williams apartment building.

A domestic incident with mental health complications involved the police.

A door at a New Minas business was damaged by an unwanted person.

An assault on a boarder was reported in New Minas.

A traffic obstruction in Port Williams was reported at 12:52 p.m.

A car was spray painted in an Elm Street parking lot in Wolfville.

A 70-year-old intoxicated man was causing a disturbance in Kingston at 3:30 p.m.

A home in Berwick was broken into and some jewelry was stolen.

Two men caused a disturbance in a Wolfville parking lot.

A female shoplifter fled from a New Minas store with about $200 worth of goods.

A man in his 40s was arrested in the Coldbrook area for criminal harassment.

A small amount of drugs were found and destroyed in Wolfville.

A driver in Greenwood reported a minor collision.

A 19-year-old man in Wolfville was sent to hospital after ingesting both alcohol and two kinds of drugs.

Someone reported smelling cannabis on campus at Acadia University. Police confiscated a pipe.

Feb. 5

A fight was reported on Harbourside Drive in Wolfville at 1:19 a.m. A 22-year-old intoxicated man was arrested after some illegal drugs were found.

Someone threw a suitcase out of a residence in Wolfville at 1:28 a.m. Police could not locate the suitcase or its owner.

There were two noise complaints on Blue Heron Court in Wolfville at 2:23 a.m.

An intoxicated 18-year-old man was reported by a store in Berwick. He may face a Protection of Property Act prohibition.

Two snowmobilers were trespassing on private property in Hall’s Harbour at 8:38 a.m.

A vehicle was found abandoned in a field in Lockhartville.

An unwanted person caused a disturbance in Canning over the noon hour.

A wellbeing check was made on a 91-year-old in Wolfville. All was well.

A wheel came off a truck on Highway 101 causing a traffic hazard.

There were nine family relations calls. Two were about a family wrangling over elder care.

Three mental health reports came in and there were two domestic incidents.

There were five youth group home incidents.

Collisions were reported in Kingston, Centreville and White Rock. Six driving complaints were received. A checkpoint was set up Feb. 4 in Steam Mill.

Three landlord/tenant incidents came in. One involved unpaid rent. Three requests for wellbeing checks were received.

There was one complaint of Facebook harassment and another about harassing phone calls.

There were three false alarms and five false 911 calls.
