Boy facing theft, break and enter charges

A 17-year-old boy facing theft charges has been remanded until his next court appearance Feb. 16 in Kentville.

Wolfville RCMP members arrested the boy Feb. 1 in relation to a theft. Since the arrest, police said, the investigation has resulted in the youth being charged with nine property offences, including three charges of break and enter of a residence, one charge of break and enter of a business, three of theft and two of possession of property obtained by crime.

The offences are alleged to have start as far back as September 2011. Some of the property from the break and enters has been recovered.

The Wolfville members had been investigating a rash 12 break-ins since Jan. 1, with majority being daytime events. 

The investigation continues into the remaining unsolved break and enters.
