Acadia and Yarmouth bantam AA teams advance to provincials at league tournament


YARMOUTH, N.S. – The Acadia and Yarmouth bantam AA teams have advanced to Hockey Nova Scotia bantam AA provincials following their wins at the Bantam AA Mainland Hockey League.

The two teams advanced to provincials after winning their respective semi-final games of the tournament.

Acadia had a 3-1 win over South Shore.

Yarmouth had a 7-3 win over Pictou.

Those wins also set the stage for a championship game between Acadia and Yarmouth, who finished in first and second place, respectively, in the regular league season and also at the tournament.

With a 3-1 win, Acadia captured the Bantam AA Mainland League championship title.

Eight teams competed at the tournament for the chance to advance to provincials, and for a crack at the league championship title.

South Shore 3 – Western Valley 0
