Skaters and goalies from each team faced off in three skills: speed skating, rapid fire and puck control.

In the A tournament, Western Valley took home the Subway Atom A Skills Competition Banner, Acadia won the PeeWee A and Clare Digby won the Bantam A.

Tantallon won the Atom C and Peewee C Subway Skills, Halifax won Bantam C and Bedford won the Midget C Subway Skills.

Digby Superstore was the largest tournament sponsor supplying Welcome Banners and medals for both weekends.

Scotia Seas Fisheries sponsored the championship banners for the tournament.

The local Scallop Shell sponsored the MVP toques, which were presented to players on each team following every game.

This was the first CDMHA Fall Face Off since amalgamation of the Digby and Clare associations in 2014.

Organizers including Cindy Longmire, hope it will be an annual event.

“It was a huge success largely due to the hard work of a dedicated group of tournament committee members, and the support and sponsorship of both the Clare and Digby areas,” said Longmire. “The Fall Face Off will become an annual event for Clare Digby Minor Hockey.”
