The Team Atlantic program announced today the names of the players who will be taking part in the Team Atlantic summer evaluation camp for the female Under 18 hockey program and the list includes two hockey players that have played in the Yarmouth County Minor Hockey Association system.
On the list of defence is Allie Munroe of Yarmouth and the forwards list includes Catherine Tufts of Church Point. Both girls spent the past season playing hockey on prep school teams, Munroe in New Hampshire and Tufts in Ontario.
The Female Team Atlantic summer camp roster is comprised of 44 players from each of the four Atlantic provinces. These players are chosen from the four Atlantic branch high performance programs.
The Team Atlantic summer camp will be taking place at the Millennium Centre at St. FX University in Antigonish, N.S. from July 14-18. Intra-squad games will take place July 15 at 6 p.m., July 16 at 6 p.m., July 17 at 6 p.m. and July 18 at 10:30 a.m.
The Female National Under 18 tournament will be held in Calgary Alberta from Nov. 6-10.
