CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Capital City Jays and the Yarmouth Gateways played Sunday in playoff action at the Canadian National Oldtimers Baseball Championship in Charlottetown.
The hometown Jays struck for two runs in the second inning, but could not hold the lead for starting pitcher Stephen Birt, who threw three scoreless innings.
The Gateways cashed in four runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings en route to an 8-2 victory.
