The youngest member of this year’s Les Aquadiens de Clare swim team is already sporting a bronze medal.

Hanf joined the Clare swim team in September and coach Moira Brown said he swam the required 100 meters in less than 2:15 minutes.

“Adrien managed the swim in 2:14:2 and has it already worked out what he has to do to achieve the silver medal,” Brown said. “He has progressed really quickly and is super keen.”

Along with the bronze medal Hanf achieved best times in the 25-meter freestyle, 25m butterfly and 100m individual medley at a recent swim meet in Wolfville.

Brown said Joel Comeau, Sophie LeBlanc and Anya Vanclief also achieved best time ribbons at the junior meet.

“I am trying to recruit more Nova Techs as I see them as feeders to our swim program,” She said.

“If we change our swim times for this group from 4-5 p.m. to 5:15 to 6 p.m., I think it will make it easier for parents to get their children to the pool for practices.”
