YARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School Vikings varsity soccer team won NSSAF Division 2 boys soccer provincials over the weekend.

On Friday Yarmouth defeated the host East Hants team 2-1 to advance to Saturday’s championship game. Scoring in that game were Logan O’Connell and Brad Jones, with Jones’ game-winning goal coming in the final minute of play.

Yarmouth played Amherst in the title game, winning by a score of 4-0. Matthew Hines scored twice in the game. Umberto Marchesin and Logan O’Connell each scored once. Kyle Nelson was the keeper.

The Vikings had advanced to provincials after competing in a soccer qualifier the previous weekend.
