YARMOUTH, N.S. –
The Yarmouth Vikings girls hockey team finished in first place in the Cook’s Cup this past weekend.
Yarmouth was defeated by PEB in the first game of the tournament 4-2. Scoring for Yarmouth were Saige Breton (assisted by Hallie Moore), Hallie Moore (assisted by Saige Breton). MVP was Laura Jones.
In the second game Yarmouth defeated Hants East 6-2. Scoring for Yarmouth were Hallie Moore (2), Saige Breton, Grace Hobbs, Chloe Donaldson and Megan Hurlburt. Assists were added by Saige Breton (2), Kenzie Muise. MVP was Hallie Moore
In the third game Yarmouth defeated East Hants to advance to the championship game with a score of 5-0. Scoring for Yarmouth were Saige Breton (2), Hallie Moore (2) and Chloe Donaldson. Adding assists were Saige Breton, Hallie Moore, Megan Hurlburt, Kenzie Muise and Sharlie Pinksen. MVP was Kenzie Muise.
Yarmouth defeated PEB 4-0 in the girls’ championship final. Scoring for Yarmouth were Saige Breton and Hallie Moore with a pair of goals each, assists came in from Kenzie Muise, Hannah Thurston and Olivia Ryerson.
MVP was Saige Breton.
LEAGUE GAME
Yarmouth will face off against PEB on Tuesday night, Dec.19 in regular league play at 6:30 p.m.
LEAGUE PLAY
Yarmouth travelled to Park View for league play this past Sunday and was defeated 5-4. Saige Breton had three goals and Megan Hurlburt added a single. Abby Cushing added an assist.
Caileigh White was in net for all of the weekend games.
