The Yarmouth & Acadian Shores region is being featured on the cover of the French Doers & Dreamers Guide for the second year in a row.

The Doers and Dreamers is the official tourism guide for the province with a distribution of 25,000 copies in French and 190,000 copies in English.

For the past five years the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores Tourism Association (YASTA), has been investing in creating inspiring digital content with Tourism Nova Scotia and other regional partners.

“It’s important to invest in photography and video that tells the unique stories of our destination —stories that inspire visitors to travel here” says Neil MacKenzie, executive director of YASTA. “Having an image from our region featured on the cover of the Doers and Dreamers guide for the 2nd year in a row demonstrates that our region has a lot to offer visitors and is increasingly being seen as a relevant destination in Nova Scotia.”

“I’m happy that the cover of the French Doers and Dreamers guide showcases an awe-inspiring stargazing experience and the natural beauty of Ellenwood Lake Provincial Park” adds MacKenzie.

Parts of the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth and the Municipality of the District of Argyle are home to North America’s first ‘Starlight Tourist Destination’, designated by the International Starlight Foundation.

The 2019 Doers and Dreamers Guide will be distributed throughout the province’s Visitor Information Centres and an estimated 40,000 copies will be sent direct to visitors.
