BRIDGETOWN, N.S. — It was high fashion and fast cars for Bridgetown Regional Community School's senior prom couples as they showed up in transportation of every description June 25.
And it was a fashion show of sorts with couples posing for photos at the Ellenhurst estate of Linda and David Hankinson in Paradise before parading to the school where friends and family snapped photos before heading inside -- for more photos.
Highlights of the parade of cars were when one couple showed up in an RCMP cruiser. Const. Cheryl Ponee almost forgot to un-cuff them before she drove away. And there was the old Volvo that made it to the main entrance with a little bit of help from people pushing.
Inside grads and their dates posed for a group shot before heading to the gymnasium where dads danced with daughters and where the last dance for the Class of 2019 got under way. It was also Safe Grad night at the school.
It's one of the last times these students will be together. Thursday they graduate.
