MIDDLETON, N.S. — Middleton Regional High School’s senior prom attracted big crowds June 24 as young couples gathered at the park on Bridge Street for photos and then paraded to the school in all manner of conveyance – from tractors and police cars to antique cars, muscle cars, and even a go-cart and horse and wagon.
Before they headed for the school, a group photo was taken with Kingston Volunteer Fire Department’s ladder truck hoisting photographers high above the park.
The parade of vehicles made the short trip from Bridge Street to Main Street and on to the school where students got out at the gym doors and later walked out, one couple at a time, for posed photos at the main entrance.
For Principal Jim Gushue, it was the last prom before he retires. He watched as the students arrived and noted that Safe Grad was the same night.
