YARMOUTH, N.S. — It's tradition in Yarmouth to visit Tim MacKinnon's property on Parade Street on Halloween night.

Mackinnon, a Yarmouth volunteer firefighter and gravedigger for Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery, is crazy about Halloween. He spends months preparing items for his spooky spectacular setting at his property and then throws out the welcome mat – complete with a scary soundtrack – to the community to stop by for fun, laughs and screams.

He'll spend a couple of weeks setting things up but he doesn't mess around when it comes to taking things down.

By the morning after Halloween everything is usually gone.

A Yarmouth Halloween evening tradition is definitely a visit to Tim MacKinnon's property on Parade Street. Always lots to look at and lots of fun. TINA COMEAU PHOTO
