KINGSTON, N.S. — There were colourful floats, costumed characters, bright lights, and lots of red and green as the annual Christmas Parade made its way down Pine Ridge Avenue in Kingston just after dark on Dec. 6.
There was even a drum line that stopped and performed for the large crowd of spectators lining the street when the parade made it to the arena. The drums were wrapped in coloured lights and the crowd was awed by their precision performance.
Lots of businesses and organizations took part as well, making the much-anticipated event that much better.
When the parade finally came to an end, spectators crammed into the nearby arena for chili, Jimmy Dogs, and hot chocolate. Some took to the ice, others sat in the stands for an evening of fun, family, and community.
