BRIDGETOWN, N.S. — It was all about the Christmas spirit Nov. 29 as the Bridgetown Festival of Lights brought friends and family together in an evening of fun and food that included a parade of lights, cookies, hot chocolate, and Carols sung by a choir.
And the people came. Queen Street was shut off to traffic and throngs of local residents packed the sidewalks as darkness descended on the small Annapolis Valley community.
There was also a free skate at the arena, a tree-lighting ceremony, photos taken with Santa, and treats around town at various businesses, plus food vendors on Queen Street, face painting, children’s games, and lots more.
The event was hosted by the Bridgetown Area Chamber of Commerce with helps from lots of volunteers and merchants.
