Undoubtedly you have seen many ads on television or the internet telling you that the average funeral cost is anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 – this is simply not true, at least with our firm.

Although it is possible to purchase a casket and services that will amount to around $10,000, that is far from the average cost. A mid-priced traditional funeral with casket will average about $7,500, while the average cremation service costs about $5,000.

As you have read in previous articles, it is certainly to your advantage to pre-pay or fund your pre-need costs (through a selected insurance company). As discussed in our last article, in both cases funeral costs are “locked-in” and will not result in additional inflation costs being charged to your family at the time of death.

One of the wonderful advantages of funding your funeral through Assurant Life is the flexibility that affordable monthly, semi-annual, or annual payments will allow, with payments being spread-out anywhere from two to 15 years. It should be noted that, no matter the length of your payment schedule, should death occur after two full years of consistent payments, the insurance company would pay the entire contracted amount – now that is peace of mind!

Feel free to contact us at any time; we would be pleased to sit down with you either at our offices or in the comfort of your own home to discuss all the options available to you.
