TRURO, N.S. — Janes brand Pub Style Chicken Nuggets have been recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced that Sofina Foods Inc. is recalling 800-gram packages with a best before date of Dec. 15.

The CFIA reported there have been illnesses associated with the consumption of the product, and an investigation may lead to the recall of other products.

This is the third recall on frozen chicken nuggets in Canada this year. Other brands were recalled this year, but there were recalls on two other Janes frozen chicken products last fall.
