Santa’s first visit to town comes on Nov. 24 at the Community Centre on King Street. Children are invited have Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m.  Santa will be back in Town on Dec. 13 to visit with children at the Guild Hall.
The Town of Shelburne and the Municipality of Shelburne will also be launching the second annual Celebrate Local Campaign on Nov. 22.
The campaign runs until Dec. 19. Ballot boxes will be placed throughout the community at locations where events are being held during the festive season, said Val Kean, community development coordinator for the Municipality, including the Shelburne County Arena, the McKay Memorial Library, community breakfasts and other events.
Attendees are invited to fill out a ballot. A draw will be conducted at the Municipality of Shelburne’s open house on Dec. 23 for a chance to win one of three prizes of gift cards valued at $300, $150 and $50.
“It was very successful last year,” said Kean with more than 1,000 entries received.
