YARMOUTH, N.S. — The traditional Dumping Day event at the Cape Forchu lighthouse will be held on Monday, Nov. 25 (unless postponed due to weather).  The Municipality of Yarmouth has partnered with Scotiabank for the event and will offer visitors coffee, hot chocolate and baked goods.  Representatives from both sponsors will be onsite with goodie bags to pass out to participants.
Doors will open at 5 a.m., with the official send-off at 6 a.m.  The Town Crier will give a proclamation, a minister will deliver the blessing of the fleet and  CJLS-Y95 will provide a live broadcast.
Visitors should be sure to bring their flashlights, carpool if possible as parking is limited, and dress warmly as it always colder at Cape Forchu than in town.
