YARMOUTH COUNTY, N.S. - Yarmouth County RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, that claimed the life of the lone occupant.
A detour was in place for several hours afterwards, from the intersections of 308 Hwy & Gavel Road to 308 Hwy & Belleville Road, during investigation by a collision re-constructionist.
At the scene on Wednesday night, the police were assisted by Eel Brook Volunteer Fire Department and EHS. The RCMP say the initial investigation indicated the vehicle left the road and collided with a utility pole. The 54-year-old driver, who was the lone occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
