CLARK'S HARBOUR, N.S. — Craig Swim got top honours in the adult category at the Clark’s Harbour pumpkin and squash weigh-in on Oct. 6 with an entry that tipped the scales at 806 pounds.
In second place in the adult category was Johnny Penney with a 643-pound pumpkin, and in third, Michael Newell, 298.
In the youth category, Benson Swim’s 629-pound pumpkin placed first, with a 368-pound entry from Sylus Brannen placing second.
Prizes were also given out for prettiest field pumpkin and tallest sunflowers. There were no entries in the squash category this year.
