Man arrested for alleged robbery at NSLC in Yarmouth

The Yarmouth NSLC is one of 12 NSLC outlets in the province designated to sell cannabis.
An alleged robbery took place at the NSLC store on Starrs Rd. in Yarmouth on Dec. 11.

YARMOUTH - On Dec. 11, at 6 :45 p.m., Yarmouth Town RCMP responded to a 911 call about an alleged robbery that had taken place at the NSLC store on Starrs Rd. in Yarmouth.

A male suspect had entered the store and was seen leaving shortly after with a case of beer that he didn't pay for. When confronted by a store employee, the suspect pulled a knife and lunged at the employee then ran away. Police have identified the suspect and he was later located and arrested.

The man was scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on Dec. 12. The investigation is continuing.
