BRIDGETOWN, N.S. — The 36th annual Bridgetown Ciderfest, Sept. 13 to 15, turned out to be great fun for everyone as young and old alike took part in parades, karaoke, tube races, pie eating contests, and apple dessert contest -- and went to a harvest dinner, auction and yard sale, took part in a 5K run, walk, or jog, watched or played slow pitch, or ate at a pancake breakfast.

The weather co-operated for the Ciderfest Carnival Sept. 14 at Jubilee Park where the Bridgetown Volunteer Fire Department set up and obstacle course for kids where they actually got to use a fire hose.

There were tons of games from a sucker pull to bobbing for apples, plus the Rubber Duck Race that helped raise much-needed funds for the Bridgetown army cadets. The cadets were also seen handing out apple cider, and there were several food vendors on hand to keep people from getting hungry.

There was the Ciderfest Stomp (dance) and there was even a pig roast at Temple on Queen.

On Sunday Ciderfest included the soap box derby, the Ciderfest Market, and the much-anticipated Show and Shine Claasic Car Show.

We were there and grabbed a few shots of all the fun.
