BRIDGETOWN, N.S. — The 69-year-old man from Granville Beach who was reported missing on Sept. 1 has been located and is safe, RCMP said in a media release.

Police said Sept. 3 they were continuing the search. RCMP said ther man had not been seen since 5 p.m. Sept. 1 and police and his family are concerned for his safety.

The man's home and property were searched, as well as the surrounding areas. Police were assisted by RCMP Police Dog Services, local search teams, and air support as well.

Police were checking with local businesses for surveillance footage because the missing man was known to walk from his residence into Annapolis Royal.

Police said the man wandered out of the woods early the morning of Sept. 4. He was scratched up, an officer said.
