Nova Scotia Power is asking the public to be on the lookout for anyone trying to sell equipment stolen from out-of-province power crews.
Equipment was stolen from locked E. Holland and K-Line trucks that were parked at hotels in Halifax (Kearney Lake area), Dartmouth (Burnside Industrial Park) and Bedford (Bedford Highway), as well as in Stellarton, while crews slept.
"So this is really disappointing," NSP posted on Facebook Tuesday afternoon.
Power crews have been in the province this week helping to restore power after the region was slammed by post-tropical storm Dorian.
The NSP post included photos of equipment similar to what was stolen — Stihl chainsaws and Milwaukee drill kits. The utility asks if you see someone trying to sell this gear to please call police.
