DIGBY, N.S. — The Digby General Hospital ER will be closed:
Wednesday, June 26 at 6 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday, June 27 at 8 a.m.
Sunday, June 30 it will close at 6 a.m. and reopen on Monday, July 1 at 8 a.m.
Monday, July 1 it will close at 6 p.m. and reopen on Tuesday, July 2 at 8 a.m.
Tuesday, July 2 it will close at 6 p.m. and reopen on Wednesday, July 3 at 8:00 a.m.
This is due to a lack of physician availability.
Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911, particularly if experiencing unusual symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, abdominal pain, persistent headache or dizziness, or an injury requiring stitches or involving a broken bone.
For non-urgent care, please call your family doctor or primary care provider. For general health advice and information call 811, which is a service offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by experienced registered nurses.
