Shots fired near houses in Weymouth

RCMP are investigating two shooting incidents in Weymouth early Friday morning that are believed to be related.

Officers first responded to a report of shots fired outside a house on Sissiboo Street just before 1 a.m. They found two vehicles damaged by gunfire in a driveway.

Another report of gunfire was received soon afterward and police again found a damaged vehicle in a driveway, this time on Highway 1.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call Digby District RCMP at 902-245-2579 or submit an anonymous tip to Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
