TRI-COUNTIES, N.S. –  All schools and work sites within the Tri-County Regional School Board in Digby, Yarmouth and Shelburne counties, will be closed today; Thursday, March 22, due to the weather. Classes are also cancelled today for the Clare and Argyle regions of the CSAP.

Environment Canada is calling for ice pellets changing to snow mixed with ice pellets Thursday morning, then to rain or snow mixed with ice pellets near noon. In Yarmouth and Shelburne counties snow and ice pellet amount is forecasted for 5 cm except 10 cm inland. Rainfall amount 5 to 10 mm. Wind will be northeast 40 km/h gusting to 60 except gusting to 80 along parts of the coast Thursday morning.

In Digby County, the forecasted snow and ice pellet amount is 10 to 15 cm.
