Cottreau, Anne Marie (Annie) – age 89, Nakile Home for Special Care, Glenwood, formerly of Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018. Born in Wedgeport, she was the daughter of the late John and Lucy (LeBlanc) Cottreau. Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur John Cottreau. During her working life, she was a cook for the lobster fishermen on the Tusket Islands. She will greatly be missed by all. She is survived by her children, Florence (Gilles) Verret, Wedgeport; Bertha (Albert) Surette, Abram’s River; John B (Susan) Cottreau, Wedgeport; Dean Cottreau, Bridgewater; Joyce Cottreau, Wedgeport; and Eldon Cottreau, Wedgeport. She is survived by her brother Clifford (Betty) Cottreau, Wedgeport and grandchildren; Neil, Rhonda, Shelly, Angela, Tara, Shawn, Nicole, Adam, Joshua, Anita, Jeremy, Janna, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased her sons; Ronnie Cottreau and Nil Cottreau in infancy. Sisters; Madeline Hubbard and Estelle Boudreau. Brothers; Leo Cottreau, Arthur Cottreau, Lawrence Cottreau, and Charles Cottreau, and son-in-law Delbert Doucette. Visitation took place 7-9 pm Monday October 1 from H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport, with prayers at 8 pm. The funeral Mass was held at 11 am Tuesday October 2 from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, with Father Albeni d’ Entrement officiating. Internment followed in the Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in memory of Annie may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or the Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery.
