Arlene Susan Greenslade

GREENSLADE, Arlene Susan Arlene Susan Greenslade, age 68 of the Villa St. Joseph du Lac passed away peacefully at the Villa on September 20, 2019. Born in Doucetteville N.S. on September 23, 1950 she was a daughter to the late Benjamin and Isabelle (Burns) Robicheaud. Arlene was a loving mother and grandmother who took great pride in her family. She was known to have a bit of a unique personality and was spontaneous, always loving to get a laugh out of people. In her working years she did both residential and commercial cleaning and worked at many fish plants. She had a love of music and sang in the Living Christmas Tree at the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church. She is survived by her son, Robert Greenslade (Laura Smith), Yarmouth; sister, Mary Robicheaud, Ontario; grandchildren, Robert Thomas Benjamin Greenslade and Jonah Arthur Greenslade. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Monday September 23, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation followed with a memorial service which took place Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hockley officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Doucetteville, N.S. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that donations to assist with final expenses be made at Sweeny’s Funeral Home.
