Arthur Muise — Yarmouth

MUISE, Arthur Edward – age 84, Melbourne, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born February 5, 1934 in Melbourne, he was a son of the late Edward and Violet (Harrington) Muise. Arthur spent 40 years working as a lobster fisherman, having also worked at Cosmos Imperial Mills and as a carpenter. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed logging and hunting. He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred C. (Thibeau) Muise, as well as by brothers, Nelson Muise, William (Alma) Muise, both of Melbourne and Gerald Muise, Arcadia; sisters, Yvonne Fitzgerald and Pauline DeViller, both of Melbourne, along with several nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Kathryn Doucette and Norma Surette as well as by a brother Douglas Muise. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, May 1 at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Melbourne, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Arthur may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Tri-County Site of the VON.
