Eleanor Rhodenizer

RHODENIZER, Eleanor Joan, 74, Hebron, passed away on June 20, 2018. Born in Arcadia, Yarmouth County on June 2, 1944, she was the daughter to the late Oscar and Doris (Cunningham) Smith. Eleanor started her working career at LG Trask as a secretary, worked many years at Zellers in Yarmouth, then the Yarmouth Hospital Cafeteria kitchen staff. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt, whom will be missed dearly. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Kim) Rhodenizer, Deerfield; Bruce (Diana) Rhodenizer, British Columbia; brother Reigh (Joan), New Minas; sister, Pat Rodney, Arcadia; grandchildren, Mikaela, Julianne and Ty. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother-in-law Doug Rodney. Visitation was held Friday, June 22, 2018 from 7-9 pm at the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2 pm also from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Sharon Lohnes officiated. Interment followed in the Arcadia Cemetery.
