Elizabeth Hardie

HARDIE, Elizabeth MacGregor Elizabeth MacGregor Hardie, 92 of Digby, passed away on October 1, 2019 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, she was a daughter to the late Charles and Vivia (Mifflin) Brown. Elizabeth was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a retired Registered Nurse, which she took great pride in providing exception care to those in need. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and a lay reader for the Anglican Church. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Scrabble and in her spare time loved the art of knitting. She is survived by son, David (Carol) Hardie, Ontario; daughters, Diane (Neil) Dronsfield, British Columbia, Robin (Lee) Bates, Alberta, Joan (Fred) Schellenberger, Alberta; grandchildren, Beth Ann, Heather, Carrie, Robyn, Alex, Stephanie, Krista and Lauren; four nieces, Judy, Jennifer, Linda Sue and Debbie; as well as many great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Hardie; brothers, Hunter, David; sister, Joan. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Memorial donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
