Georgie Nickerson — Yarmouth

NICKERSON, Georgie Bell – 83, of Clam Point, formerly of The Hawk, passed away on June 20, 2019, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born April 3, 1936, she was a daughter of the late George and Lena (Nickerson) Atwood. Georgie loved spending time with her family and most of all her devoted husband of 61 years. Her favourite past times were doing word search books and going for a drive and getting a coffee on Sundays. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, J. Allison Nickerson; daughters, Kathy (Wade) Cleveland, Heidi (Ian) Nickerson; sister, Ethel Firth; grandchildren, Nicholas Atwood, Mandy(Amanda) Atwood- Landers, Amber (Nathan) Cleveland, Bobby (Melissa) Watt, Ryan Watt, Nolan Crowell; great-grandchildren, Sophia, McKenna, Clementine; and also Ally and Scarlett were dear to her. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Byron Atwood, Vincent Atwood, Irvin Atwood, Woodrow Atwood, Leander Atwood, Lemual Atwood; sisters, Cora Nickerson, and Maureen Jarvis. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Barrington. In regards to Georgie’s wishes there will be no funeral service. An open house was held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 2-4 p.m. at 615 Stoney Island Road (Clam Point) to offer condolences. There will be a burial at a later date in Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island.
