Harold Macdonald — Yarmouth

MacDonald, Harold David –age 77, of Yarmouth N.S. passed away February 21, 2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on January 25, 1941 he was the son of the late Dudley and Catherine (Muise) MacDonald. Harold had a kind heart and made friends with everyone he met. He belonged to People First and was past president as well as a YACRO board member for years which he was proud of. He was known to have a good sense of humor and always socialized with everyone. Family always came first. In his spare time he loved going out to eat and going to the movies. He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Bain) MacDonald; brothers, Paul (Arlene) MacDonald, Melbourne; Danny (Carol) MacDonald, Melbourne; sisters, Ellen Bannister, Ottawa, Ontario; Patricia (Bill) Murphy, Little River Harbour; Verna (Bob) Allen, Melbourne. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother George MacDonald. Visitation was held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 1-2 pm in the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm, Pastor David Hockley officiated. Burial took place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Flowers were welcomed.
