Helene Robbins — Yarmouth

ROBBINS, Helene Marie– Age 77, of Wedgeport, passed away on September 30th, 2017, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Wedgeport on November 11th, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie (Cottreau) Doucet. Helene was hard working and her family was her reason for being. She was an avid card and cribbage player. Helene is survived by her children, Deanna Muise, Yarmouth; Edwina (Allan) Newell, Wedgeport; Weldon (Janice Blackwood) Robbins, Atwoods Brook; Raquel (Burns) Thompson, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Mark, Amiee, Tenasitee, Stanley, Michel, Alesha, Chantalle, Pamela, and Wanan; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Joseph (Catherine) Doucet, Wedgeport; Bobby (Gertrude) Doucet, Wedgeport; Joanne (David) Doucette, Wedgeport; Violet Doucet, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband, William Robbins; son, Wade Robbins; sister, Elizabeth Saulnier. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport, where visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday with prayers at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in Helene’s memory may be made to Family First Medical, Yarmouth or a charity of one’s choice.
