Irene Anne Pauze

PAUZE, Irene Anne Wedgeport Irene Anne Pauzé, age 88, Wedgeport, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Born June 5, 1939 in Wedgeport she was a daughter of the late John and Cecile Doucet. Irene was a homebody and was very proud in raising her children and taking care of her husband John. When she wasn’t looking after them, she enjoyed puzzles, reading books, and watching her soap operas. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John; her sons, Allan Pauzé (Wendy), Greg Pauzé (Claudette) and Lionel Pauzé (Blanche), and her daughter, Nicole (Ralph) Smith, along with seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her brother, Leonard Doucet. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Lapointe and Berneice Theriault; brothers, Charles Doucet, Frank Doucet and Charlie Doucet in infancy. The family received friends from 10 a.m. leading up to the Funeral Mass which was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 4 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Wedgeport, Father Albéni d’ Entrement officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
