Joan Catherine Lent

LENT, Joan Catherine Joan Catherine Lent, age 83 of Kingston, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Kingston General Hospital. Born on June 12, 1936 in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late John Alfred and Helena ‘Lena’ (Saulnier) Doucette. She is survived by her two sons, John Lent (Janet Kenney) and Joseph Lent of Kingston, Ontario; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Lois (Melvin) Richard, Deerfield, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Sams; brothers, George and John ‘Alfie’ Doucette. Celebration of Life will be held at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home on Friday, September 6, 2019, between the hours of 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Gregory's Catholic Woman's League, Picton, Ontario or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
