Joseph "Flavien" Landry
LANDRY, Joseph “Flavien”- age 74 of the Meadows Home for Special Care passed away on April 16, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Amirault's Hill he was the son of the late James and Matilda (Hubbard) Landry. Flavien, as he was known to his friends and family spent times doing different jobs, fish dragging, going out on the scallop boats or going to the valley to pick apples. Flavien also enjoyed cultivating blood worms. Flavien will be dearly remembered by his family and friends for his funny stories and jokes, always trying to make everyone laugh. He is survived by his sister, Rita (the late Clyde) Higby, Yarmouth; nephews, Craig (Susan) Landry, Yarmouth and Clyde (Darby Saulnier) Higby, Yarmouth; great niece, Ashley (Jason) Clairmont, great niece, Alyssa Higby and great nephew, Colton Higby. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Joseph “Larry” and sister, Loretta. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21 from 7-9 from Sweeny’s Funeral chapel. A funeral service was held on Monday April 22, 2019 at 10 am from St Ambrose Cathedral, Father Pat O’Meara officiated. Interment will take place at a later date.
