Joyce Anne Duncanson

DUNCANSON, Joyce Ann Mrs. Fred Duncanson, Joyce Anne, 76, of Brenton passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on October 22, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was a daughter of the late Viola (Grant) Bonang of Yarmouth. Joyce was a gracious, loving and honorable woman whose passion in life was loving her Lord and Savior and caring for others. Her greatest joy in life was being a stay at home mom, who loved and took pride in raising her children. During her early married years, she worked in a senior’s home in Ottawa. After her family had grown, she worked part time at a fish plant and mink ranch. She was quick to help others in need without drawing attention to herself and not seeking or needing recognition. She enjoyed quilting, sudoku puzzles, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, watching the hummingbirds and sunsets from her window seat. Joyce was a woman of faith and attended Evangel Assembly in Yarmouth until her health no longer permitted. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Fred of 58 years; daughter, Cheryl (Jeffery) Turcotte, High Point, North Carolina; sons, Keith (Kimberley) and David (Lula Hipson), both of Brenton; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Nicole Turcotte, Jordan (Cara) Duncanson and Andrew Duncanson; great-grandchildren, Brody and Bennett Duncanson. Besides her parents Joyce was predeceased by brothers, Daniel and Lawrence; sister, Betty. Funeral arrangements have been intrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium in Yarmouth. Visitation will take place on November 1, 2019 from 6-8 p.m., Funeral will take place on Saturday November 2, 2019 at 2 p.m., both from Evangel Assembly in Yarmouth with Rev. Nathan Hill officiating.
