BOUDREAU, Kathleen Anne – age 96, passed away on January 13, 2019 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Plymouth she was a daughter of the late Leo Pothier and Delphine Pothier. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Known as Nanny K, she was predeceased by her husband Ligourie and grandson, Nigel. She is survived by her daughters, Anne (Norman), Yarmouth; Donna (Paul), Wedgeport and son, Johnny (Jeanne), Wedgeport; grandchildren, Ed, Duane, Dawn, Troy, Darren, Dennena, Julien, Joseph, Ben; step-grandchildren, Ian and Evan; great grandchildren, Devin, Cailyn, Eddy, Brittany, Daphne, Cody, Kyle, Maxime; step-great grandchildren, Connor, Becca, Monique, Caiah and Calvin. She moved to Cape Wharf Road in Wedgeport in 1954 and she worked as a supervisor at a local fish plant. She gave many years of service to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 61, Wedgeport. She played guitar in her early years and always had music in her head, but singing was her passion, and when visiting Nanny at home she was always singing and listening to CIFA. Nanny also loved her Blue Jays and enjoyed feeding her birds. Moving to Tusket Villa two months ago, she enjoyed her short stay and new friends. Special thanks to Tara Cottreau (homemaker) for her many years of devoted care to Nanny and to Gerard Cottreau at Tusket Villa for making her feel at home. Visitation took place from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening with prayers at 7 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 16 from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albéni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
