Loretta Muise

MUISE, Loretta Ann Quinan MUISE, Loretta Ann, age 91, Quinan, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born June 27, 1928 in Quinan, she was a daughter of the late Rémi Albéni and Esther (Morris) Blanchard. Loretta was a homemaker, having also worked in the cafeteria at the Quinan School for a number of years. She was a member of TOPS for more than 30 years, as well as a member of St. Agnes Parish and she enjoyed quilting and doing word-search puzzles. She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Anne Gray, Fredericton, NB, Michael (Pauline) Muise, Yarmouth, Paul (Linda) Muise, Dayton, Charles (Diana) Muise and Susan Muise, both of Quinan; as well as by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Also surviving is a sister, Jeanette Mychailuk, Hamilton, ON; and a brother, Nelson Blanchard, Tusket. She was also a special ‘Auntie’ to many nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jean-Baptiste Muise; as well as by sisters, Loretta in infancy and Celeste Blanchard; brothers, Edward, Phillip, Ambroise, Raymond and Maurice Blanchard. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. Friday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2 at Saint Agnes Church, Quinan, Father Albéni d’Entremont officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Loretta’s memory may be made to the Tri-County Site of the VON, the Quinan Fire Department or to the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation.
