Lorraine Lefave (Doucet)
LeFAVE (DOUCET), Lorraine Frances – age 82, South Belleville, Yarmouth County, passed away on January 18, 2018 in Yarmouth. Born May 12, 1935 in South Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Betty (LeBlanc) Doucet. She worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Sudbury, Ontario for 22 years, then moving back to Yarmouth, she worked in the same capacity at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on a part-time basis. She later worked as a private nurse’s aid at Tidal View Manor, Yarmouth. She was a member of St. Anne’s Parish, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, as well as of Saint Ambrose Cathedral Parish in Yarmouth. She was a member of Radio Bible Classes and the Canadian Wildlife Federation. She volunteered with the Arthritis Society and enjoyed crafts, tole painting, gardening and socializing with friends and family at local restaurants. Surviving are her husband, Theodore LeFave; sisters, Phyllis Wilkinson, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau; Isabelle (James) Bonn, Truro; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Doucette. In accordance with Lorraine’s wishes, there was no visitation by request. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth, Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiated. Interment followed in St. Anne’s Parish Cemetery, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau.
