MUISE, Lucille Marie Springhaven Lucille M. Muise, age 90, Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on December 22, 2019 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Springhaven, NS on March 26, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Alcide and Florence (Muise) Doucette. She was the best of mothers who gave her all to her sons. She was a strong and independent woman who still drove her own car at eighty-nine years of age. She was passionate about helping others and volunteering in her community. She had a heart of pure gold and always put herself last. Lucille loved to cook and was famous amongst friends and family for her preserves, fruit cakes, breads, etc. Lucille worked at various restaurants and hotels in NS and Ontario and then was employed for several years at Valle’s Steak House in Saugus Mass. She was waitress #56. On return to Nova Scotia, she cared for her aging father. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by caregiver and son, Gregory Muise, Springhaven. Also surviving sons, Randall (Tammy) Muise, Greer, South Carolina, Michael Muise, Halifax; grandchildren, Allison, Emily, Jillian, Scott, Laura and great-grandchildren, Abigail and Bennett. Also surviving is sister, Bernadette Muise, Melrose, Mass. Aside from her husband of 65 years, Walter, she was predeceased by her sister, Jackie; brothers, Camille, Gerald, Chippy, and nephew, Timmy. A Funeral Mass was held at Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Quinan on Friday, December 27 at 2 p.m. with Father Albéni d’Entremont officiating. Interment followed at the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Yarmouth. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Loveridge, the nursing staff and the Doctors on 4 North for the care they gave her. Donations in Lucille’s memory may be made to a Charity of Choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M.
