Mary Nickerson — Yarmouth

NICKERSON (DUGAS), Mary Z. - 83, of Yarmouth went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Celeste (Pothier) Dugas and her brother Joseph (Bud) Dugas. Having lived in New Brunswick, Gemany and Ontario, Mary finally returned to her beloved home in Yarmouth where she raised her four daughters. She loved to cook, make crafts and do puzzles. She was a member of TOPS Yarmouth Chapter and attended Evangel Assembly church for over 40 years. She is survived by her sister, Marion Muise, daughters, Zeta (Mike) Vantassal, Betty (Blair) Poole, Sally (William) Scott all of Yarmouth and Priscilla (Kenneth) Leger of Maine; nine grandchildren: Heather, Lori, Aaron, Stephen, Melanie, Maggie, Jordan, Brandon and Gabriella and four great-grandchildren: Jerikah, Brooklyn, Alexander and Jackson as well as nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. David Webster, nursing staff of 4-South at Yarmouth Hospital, Yarmouth Home Care and the VON. Relatives and friends were invited to join the family in a Celebration of Life at Yarmouth Evangel Assembly, corner of Parade and Myrtle Street on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 2 pm. Pastor Nathan Hill officiated. A gathering was held immediately following in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia. Arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M.
