Neil Nicholl

NICHOLL, Neil Neil Nicholl 74 of Deerfield, Yarmouth County, passed away December 19, 2019 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth ,he was a son to the late Parker and Olive (Earle) Nicholl. Neil got his greatest enjoyment from being outdoors tinkering in his wood pile. He loved to garden and do yard work. He was a hard worker and put a lot of dedication into his job of 30 plus years as a plumber at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. One might say he spent more time socializing than his actual job but that was just his nature. He was a fire chief for many years with the Valley and District Fire Department in Deerfield. His true love was his family and he absolutely adored his grandchildren and spending time with them. He is survived by his wife, Leona (Hanf); son, Kendall (Jody) Nicholl, Lake George; daughters, Candi (Renie) Muise, Fort McMurray, Alberta, Darolyn (Adam ) Randall, Brooklyn; grandchildren, Sadie, Isabella, Ethan, Parker; brothers, Jim (Barbara), Yarmouth, Ken (Connie), Deerfield; sister, Sylvia (Mike) Meisner, Bedford. Besides his parents, Neil was predeceased by his daughter, Karen; brother, Clyde. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 3-6 p.m. at the Valley and District Fire hall, Deerfield. We, the family would like to thank the staff, doctors and nurses at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for their compassionate care of our dad.
