Phyllis Poole (Trefry) — Yarmouth

POOLE (TREFRY) Phyllis Louise - 96 of The Meadows went to be with the Lord Jesus on August 24, 2018. Born in Arcadia on September 6, 1921 she was the daughter of the late S. Gordon Trefry and Ethel (Robbins) Trefry (Arcadia). Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Warren Eugene Poole Jr.; sisters, Marion Clarke, Dartmouth; Muriel Stewart, Oshawa; Josephine Fevens, Yarmouth. Her kids and grandchildren were the centre of her life, she loved her cats, all kids (visits to the home by the Meadowfields kids), loved teaching Sunday School and was an avid knitter. She is survived by her sons, Sheldon; Dwight; Chester (Mariette); Kevin (Shirley); Wendy; Priscilla Doyle (Sean), eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren; and sister Margaret Meister (Trefry), Mahone Bay. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. At Mom’s request, there was no visitation or service. Interment will be held in Town Point Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to Yarmouth Wesleyan Church or charity of your choice.
