Vaughn Delaney — Yarmouth

DELANEY, Vaughn Randall, age 87 of Richmond Road, Port Maitland, passed away April 14, 2018 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth, N.S. surrounded by his children. Vaughn was born April 3, 1931 in Richmond Road, Port Maitland, Yarmouth Co. to the late Thomas and Sarah (Killam) Delaney. He was a truck driver most of his life mainly working for Aberdeen Paving. He is survived by daughter, Karen Morton (Shane) of Mavillette, Digby Co.; sons, Brian (Lisa Roberts) of Pembroke, Paul (Denise Harnish) of Richmond Road, Port Maitland; brother, Thomas (Linda) of Liverpool, NS; sister, Inez Crocker of Saskatchewan; 3 grandchildren, Kristy, Arden and Emma and several nieces and nephews. Vaughn was predeceased by wife, Alberta; sister, Pearl and brothers, Robert (Bobby), Irvin, Leslie, Lloyd, and Howard. Cremation has taken place. There was a graveside service Thursday April 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from Port Maitland & Beaver River Cemetery, Rev. Keith Moore officiated. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth.
