Violet Cook — Halifax

COOK, Violet Louise, born in Newburyport, MA., June 15 1926, grew up in South Ohio, Yarmouth County, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2018 at QEII Infirmary surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Roger and Mamie (Hurlburt) Pitman. She is remembered for her warm smile and kind, gentle manner, her passion for gardening & animals. Her family meant everything to her along with her devoted beliefs as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She is survived by her son, Gregory (Brend), daughter, Naomi and granddaughter, Juanita Bartlett (Duane). She is predeceased by her loving husband, Clayton and siblings, Ruth Moulton (Albert), Betty Cann (Murray). She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, 2 pm at the Sackville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 77 Beaver Bank Rd., Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
